Here We Go Again.
Marc is joining me on my South Beach Diet adventure this time. It's day 3 and the whining has waned slightly. :-) I'm DETERMINED to get to my goal this time, I have set 8 week (for 16 months) goals and hopefully my goal-oriented nature helps me reach those.
I read in a magazine that losing weight is 70% diet, 30% exercise. Since I'm just coming off an injury I'm going to put that statistic to the test. Besides working out 4 days a week didn't help me reach it.
So here's to another 11 days on phase 1 and many more on phase 2. Wish us luck!

MIA-As Always
Long time, no see!
Sorry about that. July has just been NUTS! I hit a plateau and couldn't make it budge, but I FINALLY broke through this week! Almost 1 pound down from my lowest weight (this time around). I'd like to lose at the very least another 17 lbs, but we'll see. At the rate I'm going that's MONTHS away anyway. So anyhow, I'm back and hopefully headed in the right direction.

Weigh-in Wednesday
I'm changing my weigh-in day to Wednesday!
From last Monday (9 days ago) I'm down 5.2 lbs, which is 1 lb down from my lowest recorded weight! Yay!
Also, my running buddy is back from grad school and we're both determined to get in shape enough to run a 5k by the end of the summer! I'm pretty sure I could do it now, but it'll be more fun to go with Adrienne!

MIA
Well I missed the last few Mondays. The good news is we went camping and I actually LOST weight (it pays that our campsite was a quarter of a mile from the bathroom). Then we had father's day and I gained back that half pound plus a couple. Oh well, all is not lost! Also I had a really bad running month. Where there was literally NO time to do much of it. So I'm recommitting myself to my 4-5 times a week routine. Upon looking at my progress I did realize since March I've shaved off 10 minutes from my 3 miles! Which is AMAZING! I also realized while running with my SIL, that I'm not as SLOW as I once thought. In fact, the pace I like to run at is 9"4"8/miles ( don't exactly know what that means, but that what my fancy-smancy watch says). This is one of my favorite "running songs" lately:

I had a fairly good weigh in this week. I only gained back 1# from my drastic stomach bug weight drop. So I'm happy with that. I have not ran barely at all though. I did force myself to go on Saturday, but I haven't gone since. :-( I hate when I hit a slump, it has been extremely hot and busy lately. Not to mention added responsibilities (and laundry) from my family being sick and Marc starting online classes. I have to make it a priority again, maybe indoor workouts when it's just to hot to be outside and going to bed early so I can get my run out the way before life gets too hectic. I do really miss it, but I mostly miss the 1 hour a day I get for just me! The weather is nice and I'm ready to go today!

I need motivation!
I haven't gone running for the past 2 days :-( and I don't really feel like going today either. I probably won't have time to go tomorrow so then that will be 4 days in a row which makes Monday awful!!! I think I just need to do it. Maybe some new music is what I need...but what to download?! Any suggestions?
