Survived Week 2
This past week was TOUGH! But I did manage to lose 3 pounds! The dr. suggested I omit dairy from my diet to help Shoshannah's excessive gas. It seems to be helping her, but that definitely puts a knot in the South Beach rope. I guess I'll just have to deal. At the moment I only have a few pairs of pants that fit so that's helping me to stay focused on my first goal. I NEED my wardrobe back!!!

Day 5:
"Walk a bit quicker to train the old ticker!"
I got the green light from my doctor to lace up the old running shoes! So excited!!! I'm SOOOO ready!
I've lost 2 lbs this week so far! Yay!

Day 3:
"Positive thinking keeps me from sinking!"
Yesterday wasn't bad at all. In fact, my dinner was sooo good! We had flounder with ginger glaze, sautéed cabbage, and raw sugar snap peas! It was delicious!
To help keep my milk supply up I've been trying to add a little extra healthy food. Usually about 1 extra snack per day.
Oh and by the way, I'm down almost 2 lbs! Go me!
I really want to get back into regular exercise. It was just nice to have 20 minutes to myself everyday. I think I'm going to start incorporated it back into my life. That is as long as Shoshannah cooperates!

Day 2:
"Arteries go splat when you fill them with fat"
Which is odd, since they are both type 2 diabetics and should not have a lot of sweets/junk in their house. But they "like to have it for the grandkids" Since sweets are my weakness it's hard to resist.
I stayed strong! Which IS an accomplishment!

Day 1:
"Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels"~Kate Moss
It wasn't horrible. But I did have to watch myself from grabbing one little bite of this or that, old habits die hard. I'd forgotten how good Ricotta Creme and mashed cauliflower are! Now I just need the sugar cravings to go away. This is when my stubbornness and will power come in.
Leia was very excited that I was going back on my diet. Must be my little chef's (she really wants to be a chef when she grows up) palette was missing all of the goodness of real, unprocessed food. Or else she just likes that as soon as anyone brings any sweets into the house I promptly force my children (and husband) to consume them ("Come on guys, can't you eat just one more donut?!").
